Let me tell you my story...
A few years ago a friend of mine went through a traumatic abortion and chronic depression. It took time before she was able to talk about it. In a conversation she asked me, "How come you never get unwillingly pregnant and do not even take the pill?" I told her what I learnt from a little book about naturally avoiding Unplanned Pregnancy (UP) I read back in my teens. She could not believe that it was as EASY as that to avoid the problem every time using only non-drug, some common sense or natural methods. "You've read a book once that gave you the peace of mind every girl, I know, would love to have. Now you should write a book and tell them what you know", she said.
Interesting idea, but it was not "me". I had more important things to get on with in my life and I left it there for the excuse that I have not written a book before.
I moved from London, UK to Spain, for the pleasant weather, and the idea moved with me too, stronger than ever. It was on my mind every day. However, this time I did not write a word because I was petrified by the thought that my work stands against the business interests of the pharmaceutical industry...
A friend of mine from London came to visit us in Spain in January 2007. I told him about the fear I had, but he dismissed it. He simply said that I should write the book because there were many people out there who were going through a chain of problems related to UP, contraceptive drugs and their nasty side effects. For the first time in my life, at the age of 36, I was hearing about the dangere of the contraceptive drugs's side effects. I realised that I was living in a blissful ignorance about people's suffering, which in my experience was easily avoidable! I soon discovered that not only the person who takes the contraceptive drugs suffers the consequences, but also those who are in contact with like: children, partners, colleagues or employers...

Thus their logical goal is to have as many people taking medicines regularly as possible. Cured patients don't make them money. Contrary to Lord Drazi's ideas I initiated a camaign, entirely on my own, to promote natural ways for avoiding UP on MySpace on 12 January 2008, which quickly received the support of people from all walks of life: politicians, musicians, parents, students and many more.

They should not be made to feel ashamed of their sexuality and therefore repress. Abstinence is best until the youths understand sexuality properly, lovingly. When they are ready to explore, then knowledge of how to properly protect themselves is necessary.

Pett's book provides this and that is why I support her. I am a father of two teenage daughters.
People, and especially teens, that feel good about who they are, don't hurt other people or themselves. We see the big picture about the drug companies... and we know what repression and uneducation does...
My girls are a perfect example. I set them straight in a loving, knowledgeable way and both don't do drugs or sex. Sara (soon 20) waited until she was exactly 18 but is careful not to compromise her future (in college with 2 jobs). Emily is 16 and sex is totally out of the question until she is ready (her choice).
Proper education deals with honesty, proper knowledge and being real in a world that is filling fast with uneducated children. Let's truly give them a chance at a good life by educating them properly and most of all, truly loving them and understanding them".

I finally gave myself permission to write the book and it was done in just a month. I have to say that I have not originated any of the natural or common sense methods described in the book. I have researched them and I quote the sourses at the back of it. However, the research of non drug method continues. I would be pleased to hear about similar information or evidence from you - the visitor of this site - whereby you can, if you wish, receive an acknowledgement. I published it in English in May 2007 and later on in Spanish and from 2011 it is available in Bulgarian too. Back in 2007 I did not do anything to promote the book simply becuase I didn't know I had to. I had no idea how. In January 2008 I subscribed to an Internet Marketer's newsletter and in one of the issues I read about Social Networks for the first time. About that time my mentor sent me a link to a Daily Mail publication talking about our UK Health Minister, Lord Darzi's, decision to introduced contraceptive drugs for FREE to underaged children.
